It's a bird...it's a plane...It's, a moth?...

Question. What has buzzing wings, and flies around fast from place to place? Not a good description? I'm enjoying the outdoors last night, when I see this thing darting around in my bee balm. At first I thought im thinking it was a hummingbird, because they are suppose to be attracted to it. Not to mention I have a feeder for those bastards who never come around! I rushed in to get my camera and took some shots of it. The more I saw of it, the more it didn't look like any kind of bird. It was more like a giant butterfly than a hummingbird, and I looked it up today and found out it's a hawk moth.

Here is a video I shot if you want to see why I thought it was a hummingbird. I'm not the best videographer. Has anyone else ever seen these? I mean, I live by the woods so I had no idea what it could've been I get all sorts of creepy crawlies around. And cute little tree frogs too!

That is a freaky kind of moth! I can't believe it let you get that close... I would have been running in an entirely different direction, lol.

And yes, I am watching BB10 and I'm with you - I was done with Brian the first day! Like, has he never seen the show before? You lay low until the 3rd week and THEN you start brainwashing and playing a lot of different sides, lol. He went in there like he owned the place and he is going to be the first one out - thank god!!

On one hand I can appreciate your pictures, but on the other - I've had enough of bugs for the week.
