More Pinterest Crafting...and Pictures of the Furkids..

My latest Pinterest project is a pet bed made out of an old sweater!! Easy, peasy!

It is a first draft, and will only be improved upon...but this is a half off thrift store sweater $1.50 turned into a snuggley pet bed!

Mr. Magoo approves

Fizzgig approves

Pickachu approves

And it's perfect for two (Fizzgig and Pickachu)

Bonus shot.. Mr. Magoo has made a full recovery. Here he is tuckered out from play and cat chasing!

Honorary mention..Fozzie, she  hasn't gotten on the bed bandwagon, but she deserves to be pictured with the rest of the furkids...

Mom helped me with this, and tried to show me how to work her sewing machine, which turned out to not be the best way to make this bed. I got the job done with a darning needle and crochet thread in no time! I do however, need to continue the sewing machine lessons. I don't remember a damned thing from Home ec classes....it was only 20 years ago.

Inergalactic Planetary....

Everyone likes spooning!

I recently outed myself on facebook.

I post more pictures of my pets than most people do of their kids. (In my defense, my pets are far cuter than most people's kids...just sayin')

Operation, be more social, is on this summer's agenda. Really, I need to get out more!

I've filled up the next month with activities, in an effort to see, and be seen!

A trifecta of animals. I have the most awesome pet society...

Sometimes I wonder why I am still single, because, obviously, hanging out with your pets is pretty sweet right?!

You should watch this amazing rescue video if you love a good story!

P.S. I am not the least bit sad that in a few short weeks, this ragged ass plaid couch from 1990 is leaving my house, and I will have a brand new grown girl's couch in its place. I'm movin' on up!!

Sick Day...

"I wanna play!"

I contracted a horrid cold with fever over the weekend. I missed my miles, a date (nothing major) and I had to call off work on Monday. I hate calling off work.

While I drifted in and out of consciousness, between netflix marathons, vicks fusion doses, Progresso light chicken noodle soup, and liters of water, Magoo was angry at me for not getting him out of the house for a walk.

He took to stealing my afghan, several times, as portrayed in this photograph.

Oh I'm sorry, did you need these tissues for your sore nose?

So after drifting back asleep, he woke me up by the sound of ripping my puffs plus out of the container, one by one...I rolled over, and said "really Magoo?" then I snapped this photo... he yawned , and walked casually to the end of the couch, and jumped up for a nice long nap.

Reason 567,898,736 not to have kids, if this were a human child.. after the first time I ignored his attempts to make me play, he'd have gotten under the sink and eaten the miracle grow, or drank my boxed wine, then I'd be missing even more work due to jail time.

So, ummm....I'll take my one eyed, 19 toothed, afghan stealing, puffs plus eating, rescue shih poo...any day!

Here's to good health!

Happy Post...

Someone lost another six pounds (12lb 2 week total) this past week, along with 4% body fat. While I'm super excited and proud, it is a LOT of work! I am working out 8 times in 5 days, and pretty much my life is working out right now. It's working out, thinking about working out, thinking about eating every few hours and planning my day around it, and when I'm weighing in so I can get my workouts in, lots and lots of sleep, and washing of sweaty ass clothes.

It really takes a lot of dedication and time, and effort. I don't have much time for socializing, although I did manage to go to dinner and a movie the past two weekends, and I made good choices, and still lost weight. And I probably made the waitresses think I was a fish, as I drink on average 5 glasses of water with dinner. It helps with the cravings..and the urge to reach out and steal someone elses bread, and run off with it while screaming "my preciousssssss."

Overheard at bootcamp this past week "ok jacks, 30 sets (of 10) 29....28....27....26.....26.....27....30....29"

This went on and on and on until oh I don't know we did a gillion sets instead of 30.

And on Friday, I had A GLASS of wine and enjoyed it. Not that I don't enjoy an entire bottle of wine, but I guess when you think about adding another day worth of workouts into the mix to burn it off, it puts it all into perspective.

What else did I do this weekend? Well I got my bonus at work so I had work done to the car and it drives swimmingly! Then I had work on the dog done. We sat at a shot clinic (to benefit the animal rescue so its worth it) for 2.5 hours. Then he had a vet appointment, his very first one. Where I learned what was wrong with his poopie little eye. He suffered a puncture wound as a puppy and it was never treated, and scarred over, and that is why its so much smaller than his other eye. I think every day I hate puppy mills a little bit more, if that is possible. I'm so glad he has me for a Momma now, and knows love, snuggly beds, scratches on the head, treats and "play".

At the dog park, a big dog peed on little Magoo's head. He didn't even miss a beat and kept on trucking.

I mean, look at his post-doggie park, going bye bye in the car happy face!

I Like Projects...

Here is Mr. Magoo. We've almost been together for a year now. This was him when he was first rescued from his puppy mill cage, and shaved of all his pretty hair. And some adorable pictures of him since, like, you know, him showing off his tinkler. So, in my responsible voice, I urge you to take a chance on a rescue dog, because look how totally handsome he is! Sure, he has one bad eye, he's already 5, and took months to come out of his shell...but he loves me more than my dog of 15 years ever did. And he was way easier to potty train than a puppy!

This is my ugly brown cabinet from the Goodwill, that I painted for about 6 hours and put some new knobs on. I have since added two bottles of vodka, and some bar accessories as well inside.

Here we have it in its natural habitat! I got that palm on the clearance rack at Lowe's for $5. My best unkept secret is the plant clearance rack at Lowe's. If you like houseplants, you know they cost a buttload. You can get half dead ones cheap, and love them back to life. My ivy on top of the new wine cabinet, was $2.50.

Sweet Taste of Freedom...

So this weekend, marked my return to the road. Of course, first I had to deal with a bunch of dipshits at the BMV, not suprisingly. I got to swap out my drunk plates for my personalized plates that I've had since my Dad died, and he had for years before that. They mean something to me, so when I got the notice that I had to have drunk plates, I made sure to ask what happened to my personalized plates in the meantime.

They hold them for a year.

After having to do her job and make TWO PHONE CALLS, I am getting my plates back. I have no idea why everyone in the world seems to be smarter than workers at the BMV.

And then they took my liscense picture, where I have half a smile and look like I may have had a stroke at some point in my life. But, hey, I can drive so fuck it!

In fun news, I took Magoo to the dog park for the first time ever. He LOVED it. He ran around and met all the dogs, sniffed tons of butts, and penises, and peed on lots of trees! Remember little gooder is a puppy mill rescue who is super shy to everyone but me. Well he ran around and stopped at strangers for pets, and played with dogs.

We all stood around and talked about our kids when they played together. I think I found a place that I belong. I felt like a proud Mom watching my kid interact with others for the first time. He was well behaved, well liked, and everyone thought he was so handsome.

Who needs stretchmarks, and a sore vagina?

Look Mom! I got friends!

He got extra excited when he found little dogs! This shih tzu (Magoo is in the blue collar) behind him had a tongue that stuck out!

This was when we first got there, he was so excited.
Reason 345,678,902 not to have kids, I didn't have to buy my dog something to make his day, he was so happy to run around and play with other dogs.

Die of Cute

I don't have much to share. So here is a picture of my adorable shih poo in his new Dress Barn
Add ImageOriginal sweater, complete with a nubby on the hat. You can tell, he loves it!

Christmas was fantastic, I spent it with an awesome lovebug, that I felt blessed to be with. I ate too much at my Moms, and me and Magoo stayed the night over there, and sweated to death.

Mom has the heat on 65 or something, and I'm use to freezing at a cool 55. I was seriously too hot!

And now, I'm surviving on low sodium, no calorie chicken bullion, carrots, clementines, and cucumber water. I think I ate enough over the past few weeks for an entire lifetime. Some day I'll get that addiction thing under control. Until I can fit into my pants and breathe the way I did 3 weeks ago. At least I didn't quit working out, I bet if I did I'd have gained 20lbs.

I like food.

Too much!

For more cute, heres a video of Magoo and his new Christmas toy. He's unsure of toys and playing, since he lived his first 5 years in a breeding cage, and this is huge for him, and the squeaker, well he isn't so sure of that yet!

I'm the big 3 5...

I'm 35 Today. So heres 35 mostly pointless things to say.

1. 35 isn't old. I remember thinking 35 was mature. But, well lets face it, I'm still a kid in a lot of ways. A kid that pays her bills, and lives on her own.

2. I'm logically half way thru my lifetime. But we wont go there.

3. We got a ginormous storm in NE Ohio. I don't remember a time when it more than dusted with snow before my birthday. This is a bunch of horse shit. According to Mark Johnson, the devil himself was outside waiting to pitch fork you if you left the house. We got like 3 inches. I hate weather people. And this guy.

4. I didn't get drunk for my birthday. I'm growing up!

5. I ate three peanut butter with reese cup cookies today a girl at work made. Stay tuned, it's still early.

6. I'm not working out for my birthday so I'll probably gain 5lbs from the eating in #5. That's how my body works for me. Not very well.

7. I'm pertty sure I have arthritis in my foot from my old running injury. Getting old sucks.

8. My desk at work is decorated with all hello kitty stuff cus shes awesome. Yes, I realize I'm 35. So is Hello Kitty so shut up.

9. A crackhead decided to stand at the end of my driveway today for no other reason than he is a crackhead, and shuffeled into the street when I just kept backing up at him. I heart the city.

10. I am thinking of cutting most of my hair off. I'm afraid though, so don't quote me.

11. I had a mouse in my broiler of my oven, and I just caught him Saturday. Poor little disease ridden guy.

12. I turned my heat up to 55, which is huge, because I'm a cheap ass who never has a gas bill over $100, or really even close.

13. My favorite Christmas music is the Muppets Christmas w/John Denver. I really wish they'd put the muppets back on TV. Not a remake. The real original muppets. Please, and thank you.

14. I'm in love with a stripper.

15. Just kidding, but I was singing that song, cus we rented the wrestler this weekend, and I was suprised that Marissa Tome took it all off for that movie

16. I don't feel good from eating too many cookies. And a bagel. And chip dip.

17. Someone should come to work and clean my desk for me. It's really bad, and I'm setting a bad example to the department.

18. It's almost christmas, and I bought three gifts. I suck.

19. When I say I'm the big 3-5 i feel like it should be followed with "Elizabeth, I'm comin to join ya honey" ala Fred Sanford. Even though, its not old.

20. I thought when I was in high school, that I'd be practically retired at 35.

21. When you are in high school you are a total freaking dumb ass, aren't you?

22. I really miss Lost. They don't make shows like that anymore. I miss how excited I use to get when it was on, and how I'd slow mo the tivo to see hidden clues. I feel like all TV hope is lost. Especially now that the Walking Dead is over.

23. I learned at my ripe young age, I'm a clencher.

24. Don't be gross, that means I clench my teeth too much, and the dentist had to file down my teeth and recommended a mouth guard. I have sore teeth, and no cracks, cavities, or decay. What the fuck?

25. Doesn't wearing a mouth guard sound pretty hot? I bet next, it'll be circulation socks, and granny panties or something.

26. Just like everyone looks at their poop in the toilet, I know everyone picks their nose.

27. P.S. do you ever get mad at a self flushing toilet, when you don't turn around fast enough to look at your poo and it's flushed down???!!!!

28. I get mad when I don't get to see the fruit of my labor. Dr. Oz says you have to evaluate your poo.

29. Why do boys' legs fall asleep on the toilet? It's like the 8th wonder of the world.

30. I sent my mom a picture of my poo recently, because she sent me a picture of gum in her mouth.

31. You may not know but I have a gum phobia, so she deserved a poop shot.

32. Just like boy babies, boy dogs have crappy clothes, so I think I'm going to just dress him up as a girl cus they have the cutest sweaters and stuff!

33. I feel sorry for people who have boys. Isn't that weird? Cus i totally like boys, so someone has to suffer through the trouble of having and raising them. Just dont ever let it be me. If the universe wants to screw me over and give me a kid despite my carefulness, it had better not be a boy.

34. I had to get an echeck for my car and you know how i have that stupid breathalizer on it? Too bad I didnt have to get a real echeck, cus they cant mess with my electronics boyeeeeeee!

35. Thats the only good thing thus far about having a DUI. and in the grand scheme of things, its totally not worth it.

Trouble....

I just ate a block of cream cheese. By myself. With, a knife.

Just cream cheese.

It was light cream cheese. But I think when you eat an entire block of anything, the light part goes out the window.

Shit like this, and eating 6 zero bars in one sitting, and an entire loaf of homeade bread in a day, are the reasons I almost weighed 300 lbs.

I need to get this sorrow under control. Before I gain all that weight back.

Why can't celery comfort me the way cheese, bread, and reeses peanut butter cups do?

In Memory...

She was my first dog all my own. I saw her in the pet store and I had to have her. A small ball of fluff, full of life. Her entire life she suffered illnesses which I now know, are a result of buying her from a store, and subsequently, a puppy mill.

She was my tissue for every heartbreak, starting with my ex husband, and ending with exmanfriend. She muffled my cries when my dad passed away, I lost my house, my job, my car. She never minded being the one to silence my screams and sobs.

She didn't question how I would provide her with medical care, or afford to feed her, she simply trusted me with her big brown eyes, that everything would work out.

She was my crutch, and when I was sad, and lonley, she went everywhere with me. She loved to stick her head out the window, and feel the wind in her face, even when she was going to the vet.

I never felt like I was alone and she never complained when I told her the same story, or asked her why so and so broke my heart. She sat with me quietly, and let me spill my guts. I never slept alone with her, she always kept my feet warm, and hogged the blankets.

Little Hill (named for her parents, Rolling Hills Flory, and Pattyanne's Little Junior) was born April 6, 1996, and died today, December 8th, 2010. She was almost fifteen.

I petted her this morning, knowing that I planned to take her to put her down after work, and asked her to please go on her own. The thought of having to end her life wrenched me. I've had to put two cats down, and it is never easy.

I would say her passing was a blessing. I didn't want to make that choice for her. She didn't die alone, she had little Magoo by her side. And the only good thing I can say is that she looked very peaceful when I found her. Head on a blanket, laying on her side. Her body not in a final act of agony, but as if she had just laid down to go to sleep.

She had lymphoma, and lived several years with it. But recently tumors in her head, and throat made breathing and eating difficult for her, and it finally caught up with her.

The conclusion is, it's never easy to say goodbye to a friend. Whether they die on their own, or you make the decision for them. I feel somewhat relieved as the past few weeks she has been steadily declining, and I felt the impending decision I had to make for her.

She will meet two cat sisters, on the bridge. And I know my Dad will look out for her too.

Goodbye old girl.

My Happy...

I think everyone should have a pet. Not just because they are fantastical in so many ways, but because they kinda give a single girl purpose.

I can't sleep my life away and be depressed, unless I want poo and pee all over my floors. I gotta get up and take the dogs out.

When your cat jumps up and lays next to you and starts purring when you pet her, it makes you feel needed. Not just for the food and shelter, but for the love you provide.

They make good kleenex for tears, and they never ask if you are "still crying over that jerk who hurt you". They just offer their love and support in a silent way.

And when you don't have kids to raise, or a man to really call your own..it makes you feel good when your "little family" is happy. When they all play nice, and learn new things. When they follow you around ever interested in what you are doing.

Today I'm thankful for that.

I might not even care if I become a crazy cat lady. It just may come to that!

Look at me Neglecting the blog...

I've been doing things like, working too much unpaid overtime (I'm salary so it all adds up in the end) and preparing for bacheloretting, cleaning, and seeing my new guy. Who's quickly climbing to the top as my favorite guy.

We had our first date last week. Yes, we've known each other for years, and have hung out countless times, and had a "cook you dinner" date, but it was our first time going out officially!

He asked what time I wanted him to pick me up, I said pick me up? I'm so not use to that, I told him that's the royal treatment! I havn't been picked up for a date in years! When he came to get me he put me in the car too which is my #1 favorite boy thing to do for a girl. (this is closely followed by petting, and forehead kisses, which I also have been getting!)

I was so nervous, which seems silly, as we've seen each other naked, and talked about everything from religion, to childhood crushes. I just get nervous! But of course, we had a fantastic evening! One of his friends called when we were on our way home, and he said he had to go because he was being rude being on the phone in front of his....(insert my name here) he almost called me his girlfriend.

This past week, he bought me pillows for his house. Which is pretty stinking cute, seeing how I sleep on a cloud of pillowy goodness at home (I have 8 pillows, I sleep with 4) and he has two, what I refer to as "pancake pillows". So, he thought enough of my comfort to buy me pillows.

Then, he came over, just to fix my bed for me on Sunday, because it's been broken countless times (don't ask me how) and finally took a crap when I was making it. He fixed it for real, and I enjoyed every second. I love a man who will rescue a damsel in distress, and knows how to fix things, and cares enough to offer his help, without being asked. *swoon*

The only thing that I wonder about, is the fact that he does not consume my every thought. I mean I really like him. I love hanging out with him, I'm attracted to him, he's super sweet and funny, and never ever complains about my smelly dog, rather says "it's not her fault" (which it isn't!) and isnt a cat person, but still calls my cats by name, has a couple nicknames for them, and lets them lay on his lap. (the way to my heart is thru my pets, obvy)

My Mom says that's because its a normal healthy relationship. I guess I'm not use to it. That, and the fact that it's not really "new", since he's what i affectionatley call a "re-do". He calls it third times a charm. I mean the relationship stuff is new. But we're not new in a lot of other ways.

I'm just rolling with it. Because I am happy where I am. Still seeing my friends and living my life, and having a cute boy who I really like to hang out with too.

I wanna be a billionaire so freaking bad...

So, I should open up a pet sitting business. Seriously.

You know I booked my flight to the beach right? Oh, I havn't mentioned that?

Well you know, the universal law of attraction means, that you are suppose to not worry about things, and just do them, and the universe will make it "how" happen for you. So, once I got the money saved for my flight to see my sister at the beach (girls vacay-shun!!!) I thought oh, the rest will work itself out.

By "rest" I mean... who the hell is gonna watch my 6 pets??

Normally, I had a neighbor to let them out, but I have since moved away and trust no one in my apartment. Or, my Mom would take my dog...however, my evil Mom (hi mom, thanks for the free a/c for my bedroom *smile*!) has opted out this time, and that leaves me with no other choice but to hire a pet sitter. Because, boarding... is even more ridonkulous!

Its going to cost me more to hire a pet sitter than it is to fly my ass to the beach. In the air. On a giant plane, you know, that moves and uses jet fuel and everything, a petsitter costs more!

I have no idea what to do besides start calling in favors from all my friends and maybe try to have to hire a petsitter only a couple of the seven days.

Wish me luck. Cus my tickets are nonrefundable!

In closing, if you want to make a buttload of money, go into the petsitting business. I wish I would've hopped on that train a long time ago!

Do You do This?...

I know that the definition of normal is not comparing yourself to other people, but you always want to know if others do things you do. It makes you feel better?

It's OK that I let the dog eat off my fork, stick it in my food and keep eating. Why? Because I know other people do it. That makes it normal. Right?

When I'm at a red light, and it turns green, if I'm paying attention first, and see the light change, and get the urge to drive, but no one else is moving, I always second guess myself.

Then I go thru a mental evaluation process..I say to myself...self, is the light green? Yes. Green means go? Yes. And then I go. It never fails.

I don't know when I started doubting my ability to operate a vehicle but I can only suspect this gets worse with old age, and maybe I don't feel so much hatred towards old people and their crappy driving?

P.S. I have yet another massive blister from working out. Inside of it, is two more blisters. I am thinking of entering it into the guiness book. I thank Bob harper for saying to intensify a workout do it on an incline. I was blister free for months.

Doggone...

Here's my poor pupper on the way home from the vet. If she could talk, she'd be saying. "Get that goddamn camera out of my face, and turn on the AC!"

P.S. she hates having her picture taken. If she weren't in the car she'd have hidden from me.

P.P.S. I probably shouldn't have taken pictures of my dog while driving on the expressway either.

You know, I call her my million dollar dog, because she's had nothing but issues since I bought her from the pet store 13 years ago. I don't advocate pet store shopping for this reason. I'm convinced she came from bad breeding.

About 2 years ago I took her to a new vet closer to home. Who told me that her lymph nodes were swollen, and that she probably had lymphoma. In this Dr's defense she wanted me to pay hundreds of dollars for testing to be 100% sure.
Instead I cried for days. Thinking my dog was going to die in 3 months. She didn't. I ended up trying a new Dr at the practice, and he told me she's got swollen lymph nodes cus of her constant skin and ear infections. This is her third visit with this vet who still confirms this diagnosis.
We'll see how it works. Instead of $350 it only cost me $116. That's a bargain for me. She got antibiotics, ear ointment, antihistimines, and ear cleaner. And I found out she doesn't have a tumor in her liver as I was afraid she had cus she has a bulge when she lays down.
Apparently she has a spare tire. The vet said older "chubby" dogs get "fat pads". Who's he calling chubby? She only weighs 21lbs. Ideal weight is 13-16lbs. She was at one point 35lbs. The apple didn't fall too far from the tree on that one!

This and That...

As I was saying yesterday...Happiness is, putting on your summer clothes, and they are too big. So, Pictures! This is a picture of a waist line. Something that has started to show up recently, that I havn't had in....well years. I had a tire around there.

This was me Saturday when I put on my shorts from last year. I also took a picture from my point of view, which is I can see right down the leg holes to the ground. I remember when I first bought them, I had to squeeeeze into them.

In cute news, when I had trouble getting my contact out this weekend, and showed my cute manfriend my red eye, he took me into the bathroom and rinsed my eyes for me with saline, and then kissed me on the forehead. I've never in my life had a man take any kind of care of me. But I'm liking it a whole lot! It makes me get all sappy and weepy. He still puts me in the car like a gentleman too. I think its the most adorable thing in the world!

I bought these treats for my dog at Trader Joe's, that are made with people stuff. They are peanut butter flavored. I tried them. I found them to be quite good. Like a slightly overcooked peanut butter cookie minus the sugar! I might be on to a new diet trend or something. Stay tuned.

It's earth day week at work. We have to clean out our desks. What we don't want they are making into a "re-store" in one of the training rooms. On Wednesday, we get to go shopping for stuff in there. We also have a petting zoo at work for earth day. I already told the girls, they know where to find me. I'll just die if there are goats and llamas!

Do you watch Medium? I love that show, but last nights episode kinda freaked me out!

P.S. My foot hurts so horribly. I think I really hurt it inside. This working out stuff is for the birds.

Pets, they're just like kids...

So you know how when you were little and you got the flu or the chicken pox, your Mom made you sleep in bed with your brother to catch it too. Or if not your brother, then her boyfriends dumb kids? Was that just me? That may explain all the years I spent getting my head straight. With pets you don't have to make them hang out together, they do it themselves. And, since you have to pay a per pet fee at the vet, you don't want to have to take them all. Things at my homestead are going as such:

The dog. She's chronically got ear/eye/skin/stank problems. Sometimes you can get the ears under control with a viniger/alchohol/boric acid mix. Then, there are times you come home and your whole house smells like a.....well let's just say a nasty yeast infection. That's me now. That's when you have to go to the vet. Since they took her off steroids, I have to deal with her smell. Steroids long term are bad for the liver you know. My dog isn't 13 or anything. Not like she has 15 more years to live. Assholes.

The cats. Well we all remember how my cat decided to disappear for 5 days and cause me horror and grief. She's been eating for almost 2 weeks now and not gaining weight back. She's a small cat to begin with, despite her mountains of fluff, I'd put her at about 5lbs or less. Worms. My damned cat has worms. I know this by the peices of worm segment that are on her butt hair. (euuuuuuw!!) To make matters worse, since I have a fluffy pile of lovebug cats, who groom and snuggle each other, and share the same 4 potties, her two kittens have worms.

Worms. You know, this means I have to constantly wash everything, until they get to the vet, right? If I were in charge of the universe, I'd do away with parasites. Cus seriously, whatever eats them, can get over it and eat a fly or a spider, they are equally as disgusting, but don't need to attach themselves to your intestines and suck the life out of you slowly.

The bunny. Well for some reason my bunny has decided to stop eating. Rabbits come either free, or $25 bucks. They turn out to be the most expensive pet to care for. Vet visits, are $70 because they are exotic. Rabbits? Yes, rabbits. Rabbits are like horses they have to have constant gut motility and are always eating hay for this reason. If they don't eat, it's not long until they die. Granted, he is almost 10 and bunnies live about 5 years, but seriously? Now?

So I've been feeding him greens which he will eat a few bites of. He wont eat carrots, or strawberries or apple or banana, all the "treats" he likes, he wont even eat. I cooked pellets for him (enhances that grassy smell) and he had a few bites. I gave him some gut motility meds. Patted his belly in case he had gas.

So, my whole household is in turmoil. And I'm thinking I wont see much of my paycheck this Friday. The only thing I don't like about pets vs. human kids is that I can't put them on my health insurance. Pet insurance is too much if you have more than one pet.

Not So Storm of The Century...And Snow Pics..

I'm sure everyone has a story from the wintery weekend. I don't really. My story goes, it took me 45 minutes to get to boot camp, and I had to wait to take a later class, so I drove home in the storm. If you watched the news you'd think the apocolypse was coming. STAY INDOORS! DON'T DRIVE! HORRIFIC CONDITIONS! IT'S SNOWING!!!! I mean seriously news people, have you nothing better to do? I think we live in Ohio and we are accustomed to dealing with the snow. Isn't the economy bad enough? Let people go out and spend money. I gave up on them, and relied on the weather channel, and the talk of Akron. (local talk radio) where real people gave their real accounts of the real conditions of the real storm.

We got about 8 inches. I was snowed in my apartment til about 4:30 Saturday. I had cabin fever. Not that I had anywhere to go, but not being able to go anywhere if I wanted to...sucks. Suprisingly a plow came to clear our driveway of doom eventually. I was shocked.

The prospect of not seeing the manfriend pissed me off. But, in his true cuteness he escaped the city and came to the country. Apparently, it was way better out my way. Being that we have 2 traffic lights, I think the plows were able to better keep up with the storm. Plus, it mostly snowed at my house Fri/Sat morning. And was still snowing when he left to come over that evening up his way. I think it always snows in Cleveland. Even in July.

Met a new neighbor (we have a fourplex) on Saturday, Tayray's boyfriend (their my neighbors I'm on the end) is outside with him, and introduces me. Asks me where the manfriend is. Then proceeds to say to the new neighbor how manfriend and I wake them up at night....ifyoucatchmydrift and then imitated sex noises, and said "then the bed bangs against the wall". I said "don't be a hater, at least I'm getting some". I mean really. Why call me out in front of someone I don't know? But, I don't care. I have nothing to be ashamed of. And just for that, the manfriend and I not only broke my bed risers (again) that hold my bed up, but demolished them, and then bent my bed frame. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa................ Pretty much I need a new frame for it to be stable. Not that I'm complaining, it was a fun process!!

Other than that we had fun flirting with each other and being really disgustingly cute. Like, he told me that he's as nuts about me as the first day he met me. And, he told me I could win the most beautiful girl award. (We were watching tool academy, and I told him he was definately not a tool, and could totally win Mr. Awesome...) It's nothing new, he does that stuff all the time. I think that's what keeps us so in love is that we always remind each other why we love the other. I told him that's probably why our sex life is fantastic, because for girls it's mostly mental, and I always feel loved by him. Awwwwww. But I also wanna rip his clothes off and well......you know.

So, the big news. Bootcamp. I lost 3lbs, and have made my first goal set by bootcamp nazi of losing 25% of my goal. I made the first rank which I forget what it is, it's a military term. I lost 3lbs, and I got off the scale and did a dance, and said "yayyyy I made my first goal" and was squealing....bootcamp nazi simply said "you could be losing 3lbs each week".

That was probably the shittiest thing she could've said, but I don't care. I didn't gain weight over the holidays. Which is hard. And she didn't rain on my parade.

P.S. Snow pics for M.E.Rider...who misses the snow. Crazy?

I Got a Dumb Coat...

Here's a preliminary picture of my dog in her new coat. It was 65 this weekend, so she didn't wear it for new pictures. She loves having her picture taken can you tell?

My cat decided instead of catching mice, she'd practice catching me wrapping gifts. I was gone most of the weekend, and came back to a pretzel stick on my counter. Uneaten. Either the mouse got scared away by my ferocious cats, or headed outside since it was 65 degrees...Or...least likely, the cats ate him. He certainly wasn't eating pretzel sticks.

I was gone most of my 4 days off, so when I was home the cats snuggled with me. That's two of em bein cute balls of fur that don't catch mice. (mother and son) And my new hello kitty pants from the manfriend.

I braved the crowds on Saturday and got some after Xmas shopping done. I scored this pre-lit 4 foot tree from target for 9.99, with $1 off because the box was smashed. (regular 19.99) It's perfectly tacky. I think I'm leaving it up for Valentines day I'll decorate it with some hearts.

I had a fabulous holiday. My entire living room is packed with boxes and wrappings and bags. I guess that means I had a good christmas. Most peculiar gift? Baby shoes. Patent leather shoes. Mom. She says its because my brother and sister had shoes as babies, and I complain that I didn't (because I didn't) so that was suppose to make up for it. I said "let's see what the manfriend thinks about this." I think wishful thinking on her part.

Biggest gifts...hmmmm I got a big tower fan (with remote!) and a lighted blender from my Momma, and tons of other stuff. The manfriend got me the Great Pumpkin DVD (he'd never seen it...cus he's deprived) and a mirrored star I wanted, and some other stuff (and a bear that sings barry white, that had me cracking up). My sister got me the Mischevious Kitten Hallmark ornament, which I hadn't gotten in the past few years. My brother got me the Lost game. The only person I can play with is Kat. Unless I want to smear the competition. But let's face it, even if you did watch the show I'd still smear you. I told the manfriend when the storm of 09 hits (and we know it will) We should break out the Lost DVD's and he'd soon be hooked.

I got $25 to Bath and Body so I got my Wexler for 27 dollars this weekend. Awesome deal! (I love this stuff!) All my other gift cards are for food places. Too bad I swore off food. Amazingly, after 4 days of no working out and eating and drinking "normal" I havn't gained weight. Plus, it's my time of the month. I am not sure I'm doing boot camp this week, because I pay weekly, and there is only 2 classes available to me, and its not worth it. Plus no weigh in for the second week. I'm still working out at work though.

Now I can say that I made the manfriend a book of pictures for our first year together. I had it done at snapfish. I was jealous of it, so the universe had one sent to me too. For free. I dunno how it happened, but I ended up getting another one, and I was never charged for it!

Unfortunately it's month end at work and I have to go and um...do something today. Hope everyone had fabulous holidays, can't wait to read about them!

Goals...I got em!

I may or may not have bought myself a semi-gawdy sapphire ring (except the diamonds on the outside of mine are pave set...with a black background) yesterday because it was only $80 my cost. My new years resolution (I don't make them) is to pay off my employee account before I buy one more thing. Period. I also got the manfriend's mom a bracelet, and his stepmom a very popular peice we sell, that is sold out of stores, and people are threatening our sales associates lives if we don't have more. I lucked out even finding one in the employee store. If she doesn't like it, tough shit.

I went shopping after work, rushed to bootcamp, changed and bootcamp nazi is like "what are you doing weren't you just in class?" I said no. She said "I hope youre not here to workout". Ok, so there wasn't a 6:3o class. I'd been going to 5:30 latley so I'm use to having one every day to choose from. So now, I have to go on my day off! (Friday) Which is total ass.

I finally got all my goals at bootcamp. My goal weight, well I'm not ready to reveal that, or how much I still weigh. But I have 52 lbs to lose to meet the goal set for me. Which isn't too bad of a goal. However, I'd be just as happy losing just 30 lbs more. 52 lbs to lose, and I lost 10 (11 but gained one back) so I have 42 lbs.

The mouse saga continues. Day three. The cats were after it in the kitchen several times last night. I heard them all making that weird meow, and running around. I thought, great if the cats do catch it, but what if they kill it and leave it somewhere then I have to find a rotting carcass? Or worse...what if it's in my bed? OMG! Euuuuw! I don't like anything to do with this whole rodent problem. I thought spiders and centipedes sucked. I'm not loving the mouse.

I got my dog a new jacket at Old Navy. It's pretty cute. It's pink, and it has a hood. I'll post a picture when I get one. My batteries died.

What's the difference between diet coke and coke zero? Aside from the fact that diet coke tastes like ass fungus, and I like coke zero? I just don't get why they have two no calorie colas. If they would make a Cherry Coke Zero....I'd marry it!

Oh, and look what's coming to Cleveland! I might take my Momma.

I'm not working at work. So, I'm doing things like....wishing I had a westie. (nothing against my shih tzu, but I have a bit of a control problem with animals)

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
